The new Bloom icon is very ugly. I really dont understand you. The version 1.0 icon was perfect, well-looking in the springboard. The new one is horrible, mediocre and flat, with that unbearable white edge.

Waayy back when I had the original iPhone 1, Bloom was the first app I ever purchased. I remember hearing about it on NPRs All Songs Considered before I downloaded it. And Ive always been a Brian Eno fan, so I figured Id give it a shot. Glad I did. Then I forgot about Bloom for a long time, but recently discovered that theres been an update. Coolio, says I!

Ive been a huge Brian Eno fan from decades back, so when I first found Bloom three years ago I snapped it up immediately. Now after having upgraded to the new iPhone 4S I find that I still love this simple and mesmerizing app. Its experience is at once intuitive, soothing, and contemplative.

Big waste of $. Not cool

This app is the perfect example of a good idea that has been poorly executed. It has the semblance of ingenuity but you are basically listening to and/or watching colored circular representations of random notes which are mostly dissonant and therefore slightly unnerving. The repetitive nature of the sounds is creepy rather than relaxing. Maybe if it played well known classical music it would be better. The mood names are unfamiliar and seem pretentious. Ylang? Really? The colors are about the only redeeming quality to the app. I had one of those disco lights that would keep time with the music about 40 years ago - I liked it better. Can someone take this "diamond in the rough" and make something useful out of it?

You can buy an extra value meal for $4, and that will last you 10 minutes. Or, you can download this app for the same price, and get soothing music and an infinite array of soundscape goodness to keep forever. Not a hard choice.

Strangest app I have, by far. Best app I have, by far. Every time I use bloom, I discover something new such as a different feature, or hear something new. I love to listen to all kinds of music and the music that you can create with this app falls into its own genre. The organic sounds created mesmerize me. The repetition almost forces you to pick out meaning and familiar music in the seemingly random notes. I was surprised the other day to hear the app begin to play a piece that I had composed and cleared long ago. I was pleasantly surprised to be brought back to something that had been forgotten. The music that I create with this app plays in my head even when Im not listening. It is a very calming and worthwhile experience to purchase this. The sounds are like no other.

Entertaining for about 5 minutes. Not worth paying for.

This is a nice app and all, but definitely not worth 4 dollars. Sort of limited in features too. I was disappointed.

Simple, intuitive. Pitch goes up to the top, and time interval goes up to the right (I think). Feels like a Music For Airports on your phone. Wish there were dynamic compression included. On occasion, those high notes are anything but calming. Great for work or going to sleep or waking up.

I love this app. It creates the most serene atmosphere. The only downside is how quickly it drains my battery.

For $4 I wish that I had not bought this app based on the AT&T recomendation for a fun childrens app. It is just kinda lame.
